Antong Falls

Antong Falls is a new destination for my ears as my relatives tries to go out with a new place and adventure  outside La Union and hearing a falls push me to go on to have a soothing fresh cold water in this summer.

Antong falls is open from 6 am to 4:30 pm. Spending night in the falls is prohibited.

An entrance of 10 pesos per head in the falls are been collected upon entering the falls.
Antong Falls is open for the people who wanted to cook for their food however, you must know how to clean your place before going.

Here is the rules and regulations to abide in the falls

How to get there:

Your bus must pass through Sison, Pangasinan
(Be aware or ask someone if your bus will be going to pass through Sison)
You need to get off in the village of Paldit.
From Paldit you need to go to the village of Labayug and ask for a tricycle driver
from there to take you from the Barangay Hall of Inmalog, in there you are requested to log your name
in their list, you can inquire and ask for the direction heading to the falls.

Going left downwards from the barangay hall there was a cemented walk path, a canal irrigation heading to the falls.

Keep asking for the directions from the people in the area, they are very helpful and
hospitable so don’t hesitate to ask them directions.

When you reach the hanging bridge, pass to it and there are rules you need
to know to avoid accidents in the bridge.
After crossing the hanging bridge, turn left.

Bring you water upon going to the Antong Falls for you to trek for more than 30 minutes to get in to the falls.

Family and group picnics are open in the falls so you will not totally lost in trail because many people or tourist are heading too to the falls.

Tangadan Falls

From Baguio, I used to ride at Partas Terminal which is located below SM Baguio, popularly know as Gov. Pack Terminal. From Baguio to San Juan, I paid P111.00 for a regular fare (I don’t know how much to pay if you're a student, I am a student but I forgot to bring my id. HAHAHAHA) It took me almost 2 hours to reach San Juan, just remind the fare collector or conductor to drop you by at “Munisipyo ng San Juan/San Juan Municipal Hall” when reaching San Fernando City’s bus stop.

Tangadan Falls is open everyday just not in rainy seasons because the paths is very muddy and slippery to have a trek. Spending a night in Tangadan Falls is  fine but it is prohibited to swim in the falls at night.

When reaching San Juan, my relatives brought me to San Gabriel with our private vehicle which takes us for almost 15 minutes.

You can rely on to Kuya Alan Abat, one of the tour guide of Tangadan regarding to the route when you reach San Juan going to San Gabriel with or without private vehicle you can contact him to his number at 09108423021 (smart). But it is more preferred if you have your own private vehicle. Going to San Gabriel without a private vehicle is a big burden for a tricycle hire of P250.00 that occupies for only 3-4 passengers.

(Here's a Pic of Kuya Alan for you to know him instantly)

You can also contact Kuya Alan for something to eat and to packed on upon reaching San Gabriel or going to Tangadan just send your menu to Kuya a day before going.

The regular rate to all tour guides are P150. They can also take you photos and videos to your devices.

Going to Tangadan Falls has two ways, the first option is to trek for 1-2 hrs (depending how fast or slow you can walk) and the second option is a 15 minutes walk which your vehicle needs to climb up  to the top of the mountain and a 15 minutes walk going down to the falls.

In our first half hour, there was a "bukal" coming from the top of the mountain. I didn’t had the chance to have my own because my bottle was almost full. But my mom said, the water was cold and sweet.

Rocks are not formed to path people so be careful and watch your steps because most of the rocks are wet and slippery.

There are 4 stores that sells halo-halo, drinks and chips, the vendors are approachable.

The first stop in our half hour trek was cliff diving

When you are there, you should abide the rules of regulations of the area. Violaters are been penalized ranging from 300-5,000 depending on the violation.
